Nilfisk GD5 HEPA commercial backpack vacuum cleaner with advanced filtration for efficient daily cleaning in offices and facilities
Posted on by John Wei

Freshway's vacuum cleaners collection and its vacuum parts and accessories collection together hold hundreds of listings. Nobody needs to scroll through every product card to buy one backpack and a box of bags. The collections are built to be used as a route: choose a format, narrow by power source or filtration, then match consumables by part code.

This page maps that route for technicians, fleet managers and site supervisors. It doesn't repeat the buying advice in our vacuum guide. Instead it shows which collection answers which question, what else sits inside each one, and where the quirks are.

Freshway Vacuum Collections Map: Backpack Canister Wet-Dry Paths

Freshway commercial vacuum collections: the short answer

Freshway's commercial vacuum collections split into three machine paths and one parts path. Use Backpack Vacuums for stairs, desks and tight routes, Canister and Barrel Vacuums for open floors and longer reach, and Wet and Dry Vacuums for liquids, extraction and dust-class work. Then use Vacuum Parts and Accessories for bags, filters and hoses.

Everything below follows that order. The range changes as products are added, so treat each collection as a starting point and check the live listings.

How the collections relate

The parent collection, Vacuum Cleaners, contains every machine in the three format collections. The format collections overlap a little, and some of them hold more than vacuums. The table below shows the main overlaps.

Collection Also inside First question it answers
Backpack Vacuums Cleaner kits; battery models Corded or battery?
Canister and Barrel Vacuums Battery models; some wet-and-dry machines; a retail kit How much reach and capacity?
Wet and Dry Vacuums Dust-class extractors; Karcher hard floor cleaners; pump-out and extraction machines Liquid, dust class or both?
Vacuum Parts and Accessories Bags, filters, hoses, leads, batteries and chargers Which part code fits?

A quick look at the parent collection shows why the format collections come first. Most of its machines sit in the backpack, canister or wet-and-dry collections, and a few appear in both canister and wet-and-dry. The rest of the parent collection is a mix: uprights and stick vacuums, steam cleaners, window vacuums, robotic machines and a few dust-class extractors. Starting at a format collection removes most of that mix before you compare anything. Dust class is the one exception, covered in the wet-dry path below.

Backpack path

Open Backpack Vacuums when the route is broken up by stairs, desks, seating or tight rooms. Then answer one question first: corded or battery? Many of its listings also sit in the battery-powered backpack collection, which covers Pacvac, Makita, Nilfisk, Karcher and Numatic cordless models. Smaller HEPA filtration backpack and Pacvac backpack collections narrow the choice further.

Two engineering notes for this path. First, some cleaner kits sit in the backpack collection, so read the title before comparing specs. Second, battery listings don't all ship the same way. The Numatic RSB150NX, for example, is listed with its NX300 battery not included.

Weight on the operator is the constraint that never shows up in a filter. SafeWork NSW lists sustained or awkward posture and repetitive movement among the risk factors for hazardous manual tasks, so trial the harness with the people who will wear it.

Canister path

Open Canister and Barrel Vacuums for open floors, long corridors and jobs where the hose needs to reach under furniture or into vehicles. The listings are mostly dry tubs and canisters from Numatic, Nilfisk, Karcher, Pacvac and Cleanstar. The collection also includes some battery machines and a few machines that also sit in the wet-and-dry collection.

Within this path, compare cord length and container size side by side, because they vary widely. Freshway lists the Pacvac Glide 300 with an 18-metre cord and 15 litres, the Karcher T 10/1 Adv with 12 metres and 10 litres, and the Nilfisk VP300 HEPA TC with 10 metres and a 10-litre bag.

Corded tubs also bring a testing schedule. SafeWork NSW's electrical risks fact sheet points to AS/NZS 3760 and gives commercial cleaning equipment as an example that needs testing more often, for example at least once every six months.

Wet-dry path

Open Wet and Dry Vacuums when the job involves liquid, extraction or regulated dust. It is the largest machine collection, and also the most mixed. Inside it you will find:

  • General wet-and-dry tubs, from the 11-litre Ghibli ASL7P to the 56-litre Ghibli AS12P-CBN with its tilting container.
  • Pump-out and extraction machines, such as the Nilfisk ATTIX 751-61 and the Numatic George GVE370.
  • L-, M- and H-class extractors from Nilfisk, Makita, Karcher and Numatic.
  • Karcher FC hard floor cleaners.

The engineer's rule here is to read the class before the capacity. One listing in this collection, the Numatic HZ370, is titled "H-Class Asbestos Vacuum Cleaner 15L Dry Only". It belongs on the dust-class route, not the spill route. Dust-class buyers should also check the parent collection, because the Nilfisk AERO 26 M-class and H-class models sit outside the wet-and-dry collection. SafeWork NSW's silica dust clean-up guidance calls for M- or H-class rated vacuum cleaners. Its asbestos page refers to a Class H HEPA vacuum when drilling into asbestos.

For spill work, slips are the main hazard. SafeWork NSW's slips, trips and falls guidance lists spills of liquids, water, grease and oil among the floor contaminants to control.

Parts path

Vacuum Parts and Accessories is the largest collection on the map, and it rewards searching by part code rather than browsing. A few examples from the listings:

  • Pacvac DUB019 5-litre paper bags are listed for the Superpro 700, Superpro Go and Superpro Duo.
  • Pacvac DUB031 15-litre bags are listed for the Glide 300, Glide Wispa 300 and Hush.
  • Nilfisk lists one paper bag pack for the GD5 and GD10 backpacks.
  • Pacvac's 18 V, 108 Wh battery is listed for the Velo Go, Superpro Go and Superpro Battery 700 Advanced.

Batteries and chargers live here too. Energy Safe Victoria's lithium-ion battery safety advice is to use chargers supplied or recommended by the maker of the product, so order spare chargers from the same brand family.

When a part won't fix the problem, Freshway's Service & Repairs page covers backpack and commercial vacuums. It lists suction, motor, cord and switch faults for backpack brands including Pacvac, Numatic, Nilfisk and Karcher, gives a quote before work begins, and offers pick-up and delivery for commercial clients across Sydney.

Related guides

The map tells you where to look. The guides tell you what to choose. Freshway's vacuum cleaners guide covers format, filtration, hazardous dust and aftercare in one place, and links out to its in-depth articles. In the Knowledge blog, the backpack vs canister comparison, the total cost of ownership guide and the mixed fleet guide pick up where each path above ends.

B2B next step

Fleet buyers can set up purchasing before the first order. Freshway's B2B wholesale page describes an approved 30-day credit account, invoices with purchase order references, help with recurring supply and SDS documents, and free Sydney delivery for B2B accounts above a minimum order value. Applications are reviewed before approval, so allow time if you plan a fleet rollout.

Frequently asked questions

Isn't it quicker to browse the whole Vacuum Cleaners collection?

Only if you already know the model. A large share of the parent collection sits outside the backpack, canister and wet-and-dry collections. Starting with the format removes those before you compare anything.

If a machine is in the Wet and Dry collection, can it pick up water?

Not always. The collection also holds dust-class extractors and hard floor cleaners, and one H-class listing is titled Dry Only. Read the title and the specifications before using any machine on liquid.

Can't I just buy a universal bag from the parts collection?

Bags and filters are listed against specific models, such as DUB019 for the Superpro 700, Go and Duo. Search the parts collection by your machine's model or part code, not by brand alone.

Does a HEPA backpack cover construction dust?

No. SafeWork NSW's silica guidance calls for M- or H-class rated vacuum cleaners. Use the class-rated extractors in the wet-and-dry collection, or models such as the Nilfisk AERO 26 listed in the parent collection.

Next steps with Freshway

Write down each site's main job, pick the matching path above, and shortlist two machines within it. Then search the parts collection for their bag and filter codes before you order, so the consumables arrive with the machines. Check each product page for current pricing and availability, and contact the Arncliffe team if a listing doesn't make its class, power source or included battery clear.
