High-Performance Portable & Commercial Generators

When you operate on demanding worksites or run a mobile service fleet, access to reliable, uninterrupted power is non-negotiable. At Freshway Supplies, we offer a robust selection of high-performance generators engineered to deliver consistent electricity wherever your work takes you. From powering heavy-duty commercial pressure washers in remote locations to providing emergency backup power for vital facility infrastructure, our generators are built to perform under pressure.

We stock a variety of power solutions designed specifically for the rigorous demands of the Australian market. Whether you require a heavy-duty petrol or diesel generator for a construction site, or a whisper-quiet inverter generator to safely power sensitive electronics and diagnostic equipment, we have the right machine to keep your operations running smoothly.

Say goodbye to costly downtime caused by power outages or remote job site limitations. Equip your business with trade-tough generators that offer superior fuel efficiency, rugged durability, and reliable starting power every single time.

Explore Our Power Generation Range

Don't let remote locations dictate your productivity. Explore our core categories of reliable power generation equipment below.

Inverter Generators

Quiet, efficient, and incredibly safe. Inverter generators produce ultra-clean power with minimal harmonic distortion, making them the absolute best choice for powering sensitive electronics, mobile offices, and hospitality events where noise must be kept to a minimum.

Portable Petrol Generators

The ultimate workhorse for mobile trades. These rugged generators deliver massive starting wattage, making them perfectly suited for running high-draw equipment like commercial vacuums, air compressors, and power tools on remote job sites.

Diesel & Industrial Generators

Built for extreme endurance. Heavy-duty diesel generators offer exceptional fuel economy and prolonged engine life, providing reliable, continuous backup power for large-scale agricultural, industrial, and facility management applications.

Trusted Across Demanding Sectors

Our generators are heavily relied upon by professionals who simply cannot afford to lose power during critical operations.

Mobile Contract Cleaners & Detailers

Take your business on the road. Power your high-pressure washers, extraction vacuums, and carpet polishers directly from the back of your van without ever relying on the client's electricity.

Construction & Trades

Keep the site moving. Run heavy-duty demolition saws, concrete grinders, and multiple power tools simultaneously on off-grid job sites where temporary power poles have not yet been installed.

Emergency Backup & Facilities

Protect your critical infrastructure. Ensure your medical refrigeration, security systems, and essential office servers remain fully operational during unpredictable blackout events or extreme weather.

Events & Hospitality

Power your outdoor success. Utilize super-quiet inverter generators to seamlessly run food trucks, lighting rigs, and PA systems at outdoor festivals without disrupting the guest experience with loud engine noise.

Power Your Business with Freshway

Whether you are a mobile car detailer needing a compact inverter generator for your van, or a construction manager requiring heavy-duty site power, Freshway Supplies is your trusted equipment distributor. Enjoy expert technical advice, genuine spare parts, and highly competitive pricing. Visit our warehouse in Arncliffe, Sydney for Click & Collect, or order your generator online today for fast, secure heavy-freight shipping right across Australia.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between an inverter generator and a standard generator?

A standard generator produces raw, sometimes fluctuating power suitable for heavy tools. An inverter generator takes that raw power, converts it to DC, and then 'inverts' it back to highly stable, pure sine wave AC power. This makes inverters much quieter, more fuel-efficient, and completely safe for sensitive electronics like laptops and diagnostic tools.

How do I calculate what size generator I need?

You must calculate both the 'Running Watts' (the continuous power your equipment needs) and the 'Starting Watts' (the massive initial surge required to start an electric motor). Always size your generator based on the highest total Starting Watts of the equipment you plan to run simultaneously.

Are your generators suitable for mobile car detailing vans?

Absolutely. Portable petrol and inverter generators are the backbone of mobile detailing and contract cleaning fleets. They provide the massive starting wattage required to run commercial pressure washers and wet/dry vacuums completely off the grid.

Can I run a generator indoors or in my garage during a blackout?

No, absolutely never. Generators produce highly toxic carbon monoxide (CO) gas in their exhaust. They must only be operated outdoors in highly ventilated areas, positioned safely away from open windows, doors, and vents.

What is the difference between Starting Watts and Running Watts?

Running Watts (or Rated Watts) is the continuous power a generator can supply. Starting Watts (or Surge Watts) is the short, massive burst of extra power the generator can temporarily produce to kickstart electric motors found in compressors, pumps, and vacuums.

Are diesel generators better than petrol generators?

It depends on the application. Diesel generators are generally more fuel-efficient, have a longer engine lifespan, and are safer for heavy, continuous industrial use. Petrol generators are typically lighter, more portable, and have a lower upfront cost, making them ideal for mobile trades.

How loud are portable generators?

Noise levels vary heavily by type. Open-frame trade generators are typically louder (around 70-80 decibels) due to their raw power. Inverter generators feature fully enclosed acoustic housings and smart throttles, making them whisper-quiet (often around 50-60 decibels).

How often do I need to service my generator?

To ensure reliable starting, you should check the oil before every use. Most commercial generators require an oil change, air filter cleaning, and spark plug inspection every 50 to 100 hours of operation, or at least once a year.

Do you sell spare parts for generators?

Yes. Through our GA spare parts category, Freshway Supplies stocks essential maintenance components for outdoor power equipment, including replacement air filters, spark plugs, and heavy-duty drive belts to keep your machine running perfectly.

What happens if I overload my generator?

Modern generators are equipped with built-in circuit breakers. If you plug in equipment that demands more wattage than the generator can supply, the breaker will trip, safely cutting off power to prevent damage to the alternator and your tools.

Can I buy generators in bulk for my construction fleet?

Yes, Freshway Supplies specializes in B2B equipment distribution. We offer highly competitive trade pricing for construction companies, hire fleets, and facility managers looking to purchase multiple generators.

Do you deliver heavy generators across Australia?

Yes. Freshway Supplies provides fast, secure, and fully tracked heavy freight shipping for all our generators, commercial cleaning machines, and outdoor power equipment to all states and regional areas across Australia.

They earned it! I hardly ever leave reviews, but Abe absolutely deserves this one.

I rang ready to spend nearly $2,000. Unfortunately, the item wasn’t in stock for pickup and would take seven days to arrive. Abe said he’d call me back.

Five minutes later, he had found one in stock at another business in Parramatta — and negotiated the same discount for me there.
He had just lost the sale, yet he was genuinely happy he could help. That says everything.

This is how an excellent reputation is earned: day by day, customer by customer. Could not possibly ask for more.

Thank you, Abe — AWESOME service!
