Commercial Window Cleaning Kits & Equipment Sets

Assembling the correct tools for professional glass maintenance can be complex. Purchasing individual components often leads to mismatched hardware, incorrect sizing between washers and buckets, and workflow inefficiencies. A complete Commercial Window Cleaning Kit eliminates this guesswork, providing contract cleaners and facility managers with a fully integrated, ready-to-deploy glass cleaning system.

Core Components of a Professional Setup

A standard domestic sponge and round bucket are insufficient for commercial environments. Professional kits typically feature a T-bar applicator fitted with a high-GSM microfiber sleeve for heavy soil agitation, paired with a precision-machined brass or anodized aluminum squeegee for rapid extraction. Crucially, these tools are housed in a specialized rectangular window bucket, designed specifically to accommodate wide 35cm to 45cm channels without bending or damaging the squeegee rubber.

At Freshway Supplies, we distribute comprehensive window cleaning kits tailored for high-volume commercial use. We help businesses source compliant, perfectly matched glass cleaning hardware from leading brands like Edco, Wagtail, and SABCO, ensuring reliable stock availability and fast dispatch across Australia.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is typically included in a commercial window cleaning kit?

A standard commercial kit generally includes a rectangular window bucket (to fit wide tools), a T-bar applicator handle, a microfiber washer sleeve, a professional squeegee handle, and an extruded metal channel fitted with a commercial-grade rubber blade.

Why use a rectangular window bucket instead of a round mop bucket?

Professional squeegee channels and T-bar washers are often 35cm to 45cm wide. A standard round mop bucket cannot accommodate these tools. A rectangular window bucket allows the operator to fully submerge wide applicators evenly without bending or damaging the equipment.

What is the difference between a T-bar washer and a sponge?

A sponge holds very little water and degrades quickly on commercial glass. A T-bar washer utilizes a heavy-duty plastic or aluminum frame covered by a replaceable, high-GSM microfiber sleeve. This holds a massive volume of soapy water and provides aggressive scrubbing power to lift hardened bird droppings and industrial fallout.

How do I clean high commercial windows safely without a ladder?

To comply with strict WHS height regulations, you should utilize a telescopic extension pole. Many professional window kits feature handles with tapered, friction-fit cones or locking buttons designed specifically to secure onto aluminum extension poles, allowing you to clean second-story glass from the ground.

Are the squeegee rubbers replaceable in these kits?

Yes. Professional window cleaning kits utilize modular hardware. When the rubber blade becomes nicked or starts leaving streaks, you can unclip it from the metal channel and slide in a highly affordable replacement rubber blade, rather than discarding the entire tool.

Can I use standard dish soap for professional window cleaning?

While dish soap is occasionally used as a makeshift lubricant, it leaves behind a heavy surfactant residue that attracts dust rapidly. It is highly recommended to pair your kit with a dedicated commercial window cleaning glide solution, which provides the correct slip for the squeegee and evaporates completely streak-free.

What is the benefit of a swivel or orbital squeegee handle?

Advanced kits often feature orbital handles (like Wagtail systems). The pivoting head allows the squeegee to maintain a continuous, fluid angle against the glass, enabling the operator to use the rapid 'S-stroke' (fanning) technique without causing severe ergonomic strain to their wrist.

Do these kits include glass scrapers for removing stickers or paint?

While basic starter kits focus on washing and extraction, comprehensive professional kits often include a dedicated safety glass scraper. These utilize carbon steel blades to physically shave off hardened paint overspray, construction adhesives, or old retail decals before squeegeeing.

How do I maintain the microfiber washer sleeves included in the kit?

After a shift, remove the sleeve from the T-bar and machine wash it in warm water with standard detergent. Never use fabric softener or bleach, as this coats the split fibers in wax and permanently destroys the sleeve's absorbency and scrubbing capabilities.

Are extension poles universal for different attachments?

The commercial window cleaning industry largely relies on a standard tapered friction-fit or an Acme-threaded tip. Most professional T-bars, squeegees, and cobweb dusters are universally designed to push securely onto these standard commercial extension poles.

Can I request bulk B2B pricing for multiple window cleaning kits?

Yes. Freshway Supplies provides structured wholesale trade pricing and volume discounts for contract cleaning companies, facility managers, and strata groups looking to outfit their entire staff with standardized window cleaning kits.

What are the delivery timeframes for window cleaning equipment across Australia?

For metropolitan areas, standard delivery for equipment kits and hardware typically takes 1 to 3 business days. We also offer a highly convenient Click & Collect service from our Arncliffe warehouse in Sydney for urgent, same-day procurement.

They earned it! I hardly ever leave reviews, but Abe absolutely deserves this one.

I rang ready to spend nearly $2,000. Unfortunately, the item wasn’t in stock for pickup and would take seven days to arrive. Abe said he’d call me back.

Five minutes later, he had found one in stock at another business in Parramatta — and negotiated the same discount for me there.
He had just lost the sale, yet he was genuinely happy he could help. That says everything.

This is how an excellent reputation is earned: day by day, customer by customer. Could not possibly ask for more.

Thank you, Abe — AWESOME service!
