What does a 'By-Pass Motor' actually mean?

In a standard vacuum, the dirty air you suck up is blown directly over the electrical motor to keep it cool. If you suck up water, it hits the electronics and blows the motor. A 'By-Pass' motor has two separate fans. One fan sucks up the dirt, and a completely separate fan pulls clean air from outside to cool the motor. This 'bypasses' the electronics, protecting them from accidental liquid ingestion.

Does this mean I can use it to suck up flooded floors?

No. While the motor is protected from moisture, the Superpro Duo uses paper and cloth filter bags. If you suck up large amounts of water, it will instantly turn the paper dust bag into a sludgy, ruined mess, completely blocking the airflow. It is designed to survive *accidental* liquid pickups, not to be used as a dedicated wet vacuum.

Why is the airflow (45 L/sec) higher than the standard Superpro 700 (38 L/sec)?

The Superpro Duo utilizes a larger '2-stage' turbine motor. This creates a much higher volume of airflow, making it exceptionally good at picking up heavier debris quickly, though it is slightly heavier and louder than the standard model.

Is the 5.3kg weight going to hurt my back?

No. The Pacvac Ecoharness features a thick, structural waist belt. When worn correctly, 90% of the machine's weight rests comfortably on your hips rather than hanging off your shoulders, making it feel incredibly light during an 8-hour shift.

Do I have to use disposable bags with this machine?

No. The machine comes with two heavy-duty 'Reusable SMS Bags'. You can simply empty these into a bin and keep using them. However, many commercial cleaners prefer to put a disposable paper bag inside the reusable one because it is faster and much more hygienic to empty.

Does it come with a floor tool for both hard floors and carpets?

Yes, it includes a premium 'All-Purpose Floor Tool'. By pressing a pedal on the top of the tool, you can instantly lower a set of brushes to sweep hard floors without scratching them, or raise the brushes to glide smoothly over carpets.

What is the noise level like?

Because it uses a powerful 2-stage by-pass motor, the Superpro Duo operates at 74 dB(A). This is noticeably louder than the standard Superpro 700 (66 dBA). It is better suited for after-hours cleaning or environments where absolute silence is not strictly required.

Is the 18-metre cord permanently attached to the machine?

No. The vacuum has a short 'pig-tail' cord hanging off the side, secured by a cord restraint. The 18-metre extension lead plugs securely into this. If you accidentally cut the long cord in a door, you simply throw the cord away and plug in a new one, rather than paying for an expensive machine repair.
