Frequently Asked Questions

What surfaces is this deck scrub best suited for?

It is ideal for robust, textured surfaces such as concrete, outdoor paving tiles, wooden decking, and marine boat decks.

Are the bristles soft or stiff?

The EDCO 18970 features heavy-duty, stiff synthetic bristle clusters specifically designed for aggressive scrubbing of stubborn dirt.

Does the brush come with the handle?

Yes. This product is supplied as a complete unit, including both the scrub brush head and the 1.35-meter handle.

What is the purpose of the soft grip?

The soft grip sleeve on the handle improves operator comfort during prolonged use and provides a secure hold, especially when hands are wet or gloved.

Can I use this brush with strong floor cleaners?

Yes. The synthetic bristles and durable construction are designed to withstand standard commercial floor degreasers and cleaning chemicals.

Is this brush suitable for delicate indoor flooring?

No. The stiff bristles are intended for heavy-duty outdoor or industrial use. Using it on highly polished indoor timber or glossy vinyl may cause surface scratching.

Can the handle be detached from the brush head?

Yes, the handle is threaded and can be unscrewed from the brush head for easy storage or replacement if necessary.

How wide is the scrubbing head?

The brush head has a working width of 260mm, providing a good balance between coverage area and concentrated scrubbing pressure.

Is the handle made of metal or wood?

The handle is typically constructed from powder-coated or anodized metal for commercial durability, covered by the ergonomic soft grip.

Can it be used to scrub tile grout?

Yes. The stiff bristle clusters are highly effective at reaching into grout lines to loosen embedded dirt and mildew.

How should I clean the brush after use?

Simply rinse the bristles thoroughly with a hose or under a tap to remove trapped dirt and chemical residue, and store it hanging or upside down to dry.

Do you offer volume discounts for contract cleaners?

Yes, Freshway Supplies provides trade pricing and bulk discounts for commercial cleaning companies and facility managers. Contact us to set up an account.

They earned it! I hardly ever leave reviews, but Abe absolutely deserves this one.

I rang ready to spend nearly $2,000. Unfortunately, the item wasn’t in stock for pickup and would take seven days to arrive. Abe said he’d call me back.

Five minutes later, he had found one in stock at another business in Parramatta — and negotiated the same discount for me there.
He had just lost the sale, yet he was genuinely happy he could help. That says everything.

This is how an excellent reputation is earned: day by day, customer by customer. Could not possibly ask for more.

Thank you, Abe — AWESOME service!
