Product Description

Cleanstar Straight Chrome 36mm Rod – Commercial Vacuum Wand

Demand uncompromising durability and absolute structural rigidity on your commercial worksite with the Cleanstar Straight Chrome 36mm Rod. In heavy-duty industrial cleaning, cheap plastic wands simply cannot survive the brutal physical abuse of being stepped on, dropped on concrete, and aggressively pushed into thick commercial carpets. This premium commercial vacuum wand is manufactured entirely from thick, heavy-gauge chrome-plated metal. It completely resists crushing and snapping, providing operators with a rock-solid, incredibly stable connection between their hands and the floor tool, guaranteeing maximum downward sweeping pressure.

Maximizing industrial airflow requires specialized, oversized equipment. Engineered precisely for the heavy-duty 36mm commercial standard, this 36mm vacuum rod accommodates a massive volume of airflow, allowing you to rapidly suck up heavy rubble, workshop sawdust, and wet sludge without the pipe constantly choking. Specifically compatible with rugged machines like the Cleanstar VC15L Wet & Dry Vacuum, this chrome vacuum pipe is an absolute necessity for tradespeople, mechanics, and facility managers who refuse to let fragile equipment slow down their massive cleanup operations.

Who Is This 36mm Chrome Vacuum Rod Ideal For?

This 36mm Straight Chrome Rod delivers heavy-duty metal rigidity and oversized airflow. It is highly recommended for:

Construction & Tradespeople: Utilizing an indestructible commercial vacuum wand on busy jobsites to ensure their equipment isn't crushed when accidentally stepped on by heavy steel-cap boots.
Industrial Workshops & Mechanics: Benefiting from the oversized 36mm vacuum rod diameter to rapidly suck up heavy metal shavings, abrasive sawdust, and thick workshop grime without blocking the pipe.
Facility & Warehouse Cleaners: Applying massive downward pressure to heavy commercial floor tools using this rigid chrome vacuum pipe to scrub deep, sticky dirt off warehouse concrete.
Appliance Repair Technicians: Sourcing highly reliable, heavy-gauge commercial metal pipes to completely refurbish clients' 36mm wet and dry vacuum systems.

Key Features and Performance Benefits:

Heavy-Gauge Chrome Metal: Vastly superior to plastic. This thick metal rod will not snap, warp, or crack under the extreme physical pressure of heavy-duty industrial scrubbing and sweeping.
Oversized 36mm Diameter: The wide internal bore accommodates massive volumetric airflow, allowing large, bulky workshop debris to pass through effortlessly without causing frustrating blockages.
Airtight Friction Fit: Designed with a precision taper that wedges tightly into your 36mm bent end piece and floor tool, completely preventing suction leaks that destroy your extraction power.
Maximum Operator Control: The rigid metal construction transfers 100% of the operator's pushing force directly to the floor tool, making it exceptionally efficient for scrubbing heavily soiled hard floors.
Direct Model Fitment: Designed to act as a perfect, highly secure replacement rod specifically for the Cleanstar VC15L Stainless Steel Wet & Dry Vacuum.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does '36mm' refer to?

36mm refers to the external and internal diameter of the connection points. Standard domestic vacuums use 32mm. 36mm is a heavier, oversized industrial standard designed to suck up large debris without blocking the pipe.

How do I measure my existing vacuum pipe?

Take your current metal vacuum wand. Measure straight across the circular opening at the very bottom end (the end that goes into the floor tool). You are measuring the OUTSIDE diameter. If it is exactly 36mm, this rod will fit your system perfectly.

Will this fit the Cleanstar VC15L?

Yes, absolutely. This heavy-duty 36mm chrome rod is a direct, exact-fit replacement component designed specifically for the Cleanstar VC15L commercial Wet and Dry vacuum.

Is chrome metal heavier than plastic?

Yes, metal is noticeably heavier than plastic. However, in heavy-duty commercial environments, that extra weight and rigidity are required so the operator can apply massive downward pressure to scrub the floor without the pipe snapping.

Can I use this to extract water or wet spills?

Yes, it is designed for commercial wet and dry use. However, because it is chrome-plated metal, you must wipe it down and dry the inside after extracting water to prevent the underlying metal from eventually rusting.

Will this fit my 32mm backpack vacuum?

No. Standard commercial backpacks (like Pacvac and Pullman) almost exclusively use the much smaller 32mm standard. This 36mm wand will be vastly too large to fit the hoses or floor tools of standard backpack vacuums.

Does this rod have a push-button lock?

No, true heavy-duty commercial wands rely purely on a tight friction fit. Plastic button clips easily snap off on industrial worksites, so the tapered friction-fit is the preferred standard for maximum durability.

What is the main advantage of a chrome vacuum pipe?

Indestructible rigidity. A chrome pipe will never snap or crack if you accidentally step on it, drop it out of a van, or push it incredibly hard into a thick carpet.

Can I connect two 36mm rods together?

Yes! Because they feature a tapered friction-fit design, you can firmly push the bottom of one rod into the top of another to create a long wand so you can stand up perfectly straight while sweeping.

Will it rust over time?

The chrome plating is highly resistant to rust. However, if the chrome plating is heavily scratched by being dragged across concrete, the underlying metal may oxidize if left wet.

Can I attach my 36mm dusting brush directly to this?

Yes. Any commercial accessory, such as a crevice tool or dusting brush, that is rated for the 36mm standard will push perfectly onto the end of this metal rod for high-reach detailing.

Does it have a curved handle built in?

No, this is strictly a straight extension pipe. The curved handle (Bent End Piece) that attaches to your flexible hose is a separate component that pushes into the top of this rod.

They earned it! I hardly ever leave reviews, but Abe absolutely deserves this one.

I rang ready to spend nearly $2,000. Unfortunately, the item wasn’t in stock for pickup and would take seven days to arrive. Abe said he’d call me back.

Five minutes later, he had found one in stock at another business in Parramatta — and negotiated the same discount for me there.
He had just lost the sale, yet he was genuinely happy he could help. That says everything.

This is how an excellent reputation is earned: day by day, customer by customer. Could not possibly ask for more.

Thank you, Abe — AWESOME service!
