Product Description

Cleanstar 40mm Upper S-Wand Section – Commercial Vacuum Wand (CSW040U)

Secure the ultimate ergonomic grip and command massive industrial extraction power with the premium Cleanstar 40mm Upper S-Wand Section (CSW040U). In high-demand commercial environments, the upper vacuum wand is the direct physical link between the operator and the machine. Over years of heavy pulling and twisting, the metal at the connection points can become worn, causing the wand to constantly slip out of the hose handle. This premium commercial vacuum wand section acts as the exact-fit replacement for the top half, instantly restoring a rock-solid, airtight friction seal so your team can vacuum aggressively without the equipment falling apart.

When dealing with massive worksite cleanups, airflow is king. This heavy-duty 40mm vacuum extension is engineered specifically for the oversized 40mm commercial standard, ensuring that massive volumes of abrasive rubble and thick concrete dust pass flawlessly into the vacuum without choking the pipe. Designed featuring the upper half of the ergonomic 'S-bend' curve, it provides a highly natural, relaxed angle for the operator's wrists and shoulders, drastically reducing physical fatigue during 8-hour contract cleaning shifts. Upgrade your heavy-duty extraction fleet with these essential commercial vacuum parts to guarantee uncompromising durability and operator comfort.

Who Is This 40mm Upper S-Wand Ideal For?

The CSW040U Upper Wand delivers heavy-duty 40mm airflow and ergonomic operator comfort. It is highly recommended for:

Construction & Tradespeople: Replacing worn upper wands with a brand-new, indestructible 40mm vacuum extension to ensure their heavy-duty industrial shop-vac hose stays securely attached during aggressive cleanup.
Warehouse & Logistics Cleaners: Utilizing the oversized 40mm commercial vacuum wand to rapidly extract heavy dust and pallet splinters from massive concrete floors without the pipe blocking.
Appliance Repair Technicians: Sourcing highly reliable, universal commercial vacuum parts to affordably repair clients' heavy-duty 40mm wet and dry vacuum systems without making them buy a full 2-piece set.
Commercial Cleaning Contractors: Drastically reducing equipment replacement costs by only replacing the specific top half of the wand that was damaged or lost during a shift.

Key Features and Performance Benefits:

Oversized 40mm Diameter: Specifically designed for massive industrial airflow. The extra-wide bore allows large, bulky debris to pass through effortlessly, completely preventing frustrating blockages.
Upper 'S-Curve' Design: Forms the top half of the ergonomic S-shape. This specific curve provides a comfortable, natural angle for the operator's hands, preventing severe shoulder and back strain during long shifts.
Heavy-Duty Commercial Build: Manufactured from premium, high-gauge metal, ensuring the wand will not easily rust, crack, or dent under the heavy physical abuse of industrial sweeping.
Cost-Effective Half-Replacement: If you only damaged the top pipe, this product saves you massive amounts of money by allowing you to replace just the upper section instead of buying the entire wand kit.
Massive Multi-Brand Compatibility: Acts as a flawless, airtight upgrade for any commercial or industrial vacuum cleaner utilizing the heavy-duty 40mm accessory standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 'Upper S-Wand' mean?

A commercial S-Wand is made of two interlocking pieces of metal pipe. This product (CSW040U) is strictly the 'Upper' half. It is the top pipe that physically pushes into the plastic handle of your flexible vacuum hose.

What does '40mm' mean?

40mm refers to the oversized internal/external diameter of the connection points. Standard domestic vacuums use 32mm. 40mm is a massive, heavy-duty industrial standard designed to suck up large debris (like rubble or wood shavings) without blocking.

Will this fit my standard Pacvac or Pullman backpack vacuum?

No. Standard commercial backpacks almost exclusively use the much smaller 32mm standard. This 40mm upper wand will be vastly too large to fit the hose handles of standard backpack vacuums.

Do I need the Lower Wand to use this?

Yes. This is only the top half of the pole. To have a wand long enough to comfortably stand up and reach the floor, you must connect this upper section to the 'Lower S-Wand' section (CSW040L).

How does it connect to the hose handle and the lower wand?

Industrial wands like this utilize a 'friction fit'. The metal has a very slight taper. You simply push your hose handle into the top of this wand, and push the bottom of this wand into the lower section. The friction locks them into an airtight seal.

Why use an 'S-Wand' instead of a straight pipe?

A straight pipe requires you to hold your arm out at an awkward angle to keep the floor tool flat on the ground. An S-Wand has a natural curve that allows you to stand up completely straight with your arms relaxed while the floor tool stays flush to the floor.

Will this fit the Cleanstar VC60L?

Yes, absolutely. This 40mm upper wand is a direct, exact-fit replacement component for the massive Cleanstar VC30L, VC60L, and VC90LP industrial wet and dry vacuums.

Is the metal heavy to hold?

While it is made from heavy-duty commercial gauge metal to prevent crushing and bending on construction sites, the tubular design keeps the weight manageable for daily industrial sweeping.

Does this upper wand have an air bleeder valve?

No. Because it is designed for heavy-duty industrial extraction where maximum suction is always required, it does not feature the small sliding plastic air-relief valve often found on domestic pipes.

Does it lock together with a button clip?

No, true heavy-duty commercial 40mm wands rely purely on a tight friction fit. Plastic button clips easily snap off on industrial worksites, so friction-fit is the preferred standard for maximum durability.

Can I use this for sucking up wet floodwater?

Yes, as long as the metal is dried properly after use. This wand is the standard heavy-duty pipe used on massive commercial Wet and Dry extraction machines.

Do you offer trade pricing for construction companies?

Yes, Freshway Supplies provides highly competitive volume pricing and trade accounts for commercial builders, industrial workshops, and facility managers. Contact us to establish your trade account for spare parts.

They earned it! I hardly ever leave reviews, but Abe absolutely deserves this one.

I rang ready to spend nearly $2,000. Unfortunately, the item wasn’t in stock for pickup and would take seven days to arrive. Abe said he’d call me back.

Five minutes later, he had found one in stock at another business in Parramatta — and negotiated the same discount for me there.
He had just lost the sale, yet he was genuinely happy he could help. That says everything.

This is how an excellent reputation is earned: day by day, customer by customer. Could not possibly ask for more.

Thank you, Abe — AWESOME service!
