Product Description

Nilfisk Alto M-Class Washable PET Filter (302000490) – Replacement Vacuum Filters

Guarantee absolute maximum extraction efficiency and maintain strict OH&S compliance on hazardous worksites with the genuine Nilfisk Alto M-Class Washable PET Filter (302000490). In the highly demanding construction, woodworking, and automotive sectors, utilizing standard paper filters allows dangerous, microscopic dust to pass directly through the vacuum motor and exhaust back into the operator's breathing zone. This creates severe respiratory hazards and ruins the vacuum engine. This professional-grade replacement vacuum filter provides the ultimate industrial upgrade. Certified to strict 'M-Class' (Medium Hazard) filtration standards, it acts as an impenetrable barrier, safely trapping 99.9% of hazardous fine dust, including wood, concrete, and silica particulates.

Engineered for absolute worksite reliability and exceptional long-term economy, this heavy-duty cartridge filter is an authentic Nilfisk OEM component. It is explicitly manufactured from highly durable, moisture-resistant PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) fleece. Unlike standard paper filters that melt instantly when exposed to moisture, this advanced PET filter is fully washable and allows the operator to extract wet spills without removing the filter cartridge. Designed to fit seamlessly into an enormous range of premium Nilfisk commercial vacuums—including the AERO, ATTIX, and IVB series—these essential vacuum cleaner parts provide tradespeople and facility managers with a highly cost-effective solution for maintaining immaculate, compliant environments while drastically extending the operational lifespan of their expensive cleaning fleet.

Who Is The Nilfisk Alto M-Class PET Filter Ideal For?

This genuine Nilfisk filter delivers certified M-Class particulate retention, a washable PET design, and massive cross-model compatibility. It is highly recommended for:

Construction & Tradespeople: Utilizing certified M-Class replacement vacuum filters to guarantee that highly dangerous, microscopic concrete dust and silica are securely trapped inside the machine, preventing severe respiratory hazards on the worksite.
Woodworking & Carpentry: Relying on the heavy-duty pleated media to safely extract massive volumes of fine sawdust directly from power tools, ensuring the workshop air remains clinically clean and legally compliant.
Automotive & Mechanical Workshops: Taking absolute advantage of the moisture-resistant PET material. Operators can seamlessly transition from vacuuming dry, toxic brake dust to extracting wet, muddy water without stopping to remove the filter.
Vacuum Repair Technicians: Deploying genuine OEM vacuum cleaner parts during machine servicing. Replacing a blocked filter instantly resolves severe suction loss and thermal cut-out issues, restoring the client's machine to factory-new performance.

Key Features and Performance Benefits:

Certified M-Class Filtration: The ultimate worksite compliance advantage. Engineered to meet strict OH&S standards, it safely extracts and retains 'Medium Hazard' dusts, including concrete, wood, and paint particles, trapping at least 99.9% of hazardous particulates.
Washable PET Fleece Material: Exceptional long-term commercial value. Unlike delicate paper filters, the robust Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) media can be thoroughly rinsed under cold water, drastically reducing your ongoing maintenance expenses.
Wet & Dry Vacuuming Compatibility: Maximizes operational efficiency. Because the PET material is completely moisture-resistant, the operator does not have to open the machine and remove the filter when transitioning from dry dust extraction to sucking up liquid spills.
Genuine Nilfisk OEM Part: Uncompromising worksite reliability. As the official 302000490 component, it guarantees absolute dimensional accuracy, ensuring a perfect, airtight seal that cheap generic filters fail to provide.
Massive Cross-Brand Compatibility: Highly versatile hardware. It acts as the direct factory replacement for an enormous range of machines, seamlessly fitting the Nilfisk AERO (21/26/31), ATTIX (3/5/7/30/40/50), and IVB series vacuums.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 'M-Class' filtration mean?

M-Class (Medium Hazard) is a strict OH&S legal certification. It guarantees the filter safely traps at least 99.9% of hazardous microscopic dusts, specifically including hard woods, MDF, concrete, and silica dust, preventing them from entering your lungs.

What is the advantage of 'PET' over a paper filter?

Standard paper filters melt, warp, and tear instantly if they are exposed to any moisture. PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is a heavy-duty synthetic fleece. It is significantly stronger and completely water-resistant, allowing you to wash it and use it for wet vacuuming.

Which Nilfisk models does this filter fit?

This highly versatile cartridge (Part 302000490) fits an enormous range of commercial Nilfisk machines, including the entire AERO series (21, 26, 31), the ATTIX series (30, 40, 50, 7), and the IVB 3 series.

Can I leave this filter in the machine when vacuuming water?

Yes! Because it is manufactured from moisture-resistant PET material, you do not need to remove the filter when sucking up liquid spills. (However, you MUST remove the fleece/paper dust bag before vacuuming liquids).

Can I wash this PET filter?

Yes. You can gently rinse the PET cartridge under cold or lukewarm running water to remove embedded dirt and heavy concrete dust, drastically extending the lifespan of the filter.

How long must I wait before putting a washed filter back in the machine?

This is absolutely critical: If you plan to vacuum DRY dust again, you MUST ensure the filter is 100% bone dry (air-dried for at least 24 to 48 hours). If you suck dry dust into a damp filter, it will instantly turn to mud and permanently choke the pores.

How often should I completely replace this filter?

In heavy-duty construction environments, the microscopic pores eventually become permanently choked, even with washing. It is highly recommended to completely replace the filter every 6 to 12 months to maintain peak suction and M-Class compliance.

Why is my vacuum losing suction?

The most common cause of severe suction loss on a worksite vacuum is a blocked cartridge filter. When the pleats are choked with fine concrete dust, air cannot flow through the machine. Washing or replacing the filter instantly restores suction.

Does a blocked filter damage the motor?

Yes. The vacuum motor relies on air pulling through the filter to keep itself cool. If the cartridge is heavily blocked with dust, the motor is starved of cooling air, causing it to rapidly overheat and burn out.

Do I need special tools to install this filter?

No tools are required. The filter is designed for an easy fit. You simply unclip the motor head of your vacuum, unscrew the retaining cap holding the old filter in place, slide the new cartridge on, and tighten the cap.

Is this a genuine Nilfisk part?

Yes. This is a 100% genuine, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Nilfisk commercial replacement part. This guarantees it will provide a perfect, airtight seal that cheap generic filters fail to provide.

Do you offer trade pricing for construction companies?

Yes, Freshway Supplies provides highly competitive volume pricing and trade accounts for commercial construction teams, carpenters, and facility managers ordering bulk replacement filters. Contact us to establish your account.

They earned it! I hardly ever leave reviews, but Abe absolutely deserves this one.

I rang ready to spend nearly $2,000. Unfortunately, the item wasn’t in stock for pickup and would take seven days to arrive. Abe said he’d call me back.

Five minutes later, he had found one in stock at another business in Parramatta — and negotiated the same discount for me there.
He had just lost the sale, yet he was genuinely happy he could help. That says everything.

This is how an excellent reputation is earned: day by day, customer by customer. Could not possibly ask for more.

Thank you, Abe — AWESOME service!
