Product Description

Nilfisk Union Mix Disc Brush 360 mm (14") – Gentle & Effective Floor Scrubbing

The Nilfisk Union Mix Disc Brush (360 mm / 14") is a premium, genuine OEM accessory designed for commercial hard-floor maintenance. What sets this commercial floor scrubber brush apart is its specialized "Union Mix" construction—a precise blend of natural and synthetic fibers. This unique combination delivers highly effective, balanced scrubbing power that lifts everyday dirt and grime while remaining gentle enough to protect delicate finishes on sealed concrete, tile, and commercial vinyl floors.

Efficiency and machine health are critical for commercial cleaning teams. The 360 mm wide-path diameter covers more surface area per pass, significantly improving productivity in large spaces. Because it is a genuine OEM Nilfisk part, it features a precise 3-lug mounting system that ensures perfect drive alignment. This eliminates the excessive vibration often caused by aftermarket brushes, protecting your machine's motor, reducing downtime, and lowering the frequency of rotary brush replacement.

Who Is This Scrubber Brush Ideal For?

The Nilfisk Union Mix Brush provides the perfect balance between thorough cleaning and finish protection. It is highly recommended for:

Commercial Cleaning Teams: Needing a versatile, everyday natural fiber scrubbing brush for routine maintenance across various hard floors.
Hospitals & Healthcare Facilities: Safely scrubbing sealed vinyl and linoleum corridors without stripping the protective floor wax.
Schools & Universities: Maintaining high-traffic cafeterias, hallways, and gymnasiums with minimal wear to the floor surface.
Retail Stores & Supermarkets: Keeping high-gloss aisles looking pristine and removing daily scuff marks efficiently.

Key Features and Performance Benefits:

Union Mix Bristles: A specialized blend of natural and synthetic fibers that cleans thoroughly without over-aggression.
Protects Floor Finishes: Ideal for environments where sealed hard floors require regular scrubbing but not heavy chemical stripping.
14-Inch Wide-Path Coverage: The 360 mm diameter maximizes surface contact per pass, saving labor time in large commercial areas.
OEM 3-Lug Mounting System: Ensures a secure, vibration-free lock onto the machine's drive hub for smooth, balanced operation.
Heavy-Duty Construction: Built by Nilfisk to withstand the rigors of heavy daily use, lowering overall maintenance costs.

Technical Specifications:

Brand: Nilfisk / Advance (Genuine OEM)
Product Type: Disc Brush (Rotary Floor Scrubber Accessory)

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 'Union Mix' mean?

Union Mix refers to a specialised blend of natural fibres (such as Palmyra or Tampico) and synthetic fibres. This combination provides the stiffness needed to scrub dirt away, while the natural fibres hold water effectively and remain gentle on protective floor finishes.

Will this brush strip the wax off my sealed floors?

No. The Union Mix brush is specifically designed for general-purpose maintenance and routine scrubbing. It provides an effective clean without being aggressive enough to strip heavy floor wax, sealants, or delicate coatings.

How does the 3-lug mounting system work?

The 3-lug mount is a standard, secure attachment mechanism used by Nilfisk and Advance. It features three locking points that easily twist and lock directly onto the machine's drive hub, ensuring a secure, vibration-free fit.

Can I use this brush on unsealed, rough industrial concrete?

While it will clean concrete, the natural fibres in the Union Mix can wear out prematurely on highly abrasive, unsealed industrial surfaces. For extremely rough concrete, a fully synthetic Prolite or abrasive Dynagrit brush is highly recommended.

Is this a genuine Nilfisk OEM part?

Yes, this is a 100% genuine OEM Nilfisk-Advance accessory. Using genuine parts guarantees optimal fitment, perfect balance, and protects your commercial cleaning equipment's warranty.

What machines are compatible with this 360 mm disc brush?

This 14-inch (360 mm) 3-lug brush is compatible with various Nilfisk, Advance, and Clarke walk-behind scrubber-dryers that are equipped with a 14-inch scrubbing deck. Always check your machine's parts manual to confirm exact fitment.

How often should I replace my Union Mix brush?

Replacement frequency depends heavily on usage. However, as a general rule, you should replace the brush when the bristles have worn down to about 50% of their original length, or if the machine starts leaving dirt behind during a single pass.

Can this brush be used for dry sweeping?

No. Rotary scrubber brushes are designed to be used with water or a cleaning solution. Operating the brush dry creates excessive friction that can permanently damage both the bristles and the floor surface.

How do I clean and maintain the brush after a shift?

After use, remove the brush from the machine and thoroughly rinse it with clean water to remove trapped dirt, debris, and chemical residue. Store it either hanging on a wall peg or resting flat, bristle-side down, to prevent warping.

Is the Union Mix brush safe for polished tile or terrazzo?

Absolutely. The natural and synthetic fibre blend is excellent for polished tile, terrazzo, and marble, as it provides a thorough scrub without leaving micro-scratches that dull the surface.

Will this brush help reduce my chemical cleaning costs?

Yes. Because the Union Mix holds water and cleaning solution extremely well, it distributes the liquid more evenly across the floor. This improves cleaning efficiency and reduces the amount of detergent needed per shift.

Do you offer bulk pricing for commercial cleaning fleets?

Yes, Freshway Supplies offers competitive trade and volume pricing for commercial cleaning contractors, schools, hospitals, and facility managers outfitting their scrubber fleets. Contact us for a specialised quote.

They earned it! I hardly ever leave reviews, but Abe absolutely deserves this one.

I rang ready to spend nearly $2,000. Unfortunately, the item wasn’t in stock for pickup and would take seven days to arrive. Abe said he’d call me back.

Five minutes later, he had found one in stock at another business in Parramatta — and negotiated the same discount for me there.
He had just lost the sale, yet he was genuinely happy he could help. That says everything.

This is how an excellent reputation is earned: day by day, customer by customer. Could not possibly ask for more.

Thank you, Abe — AWESOME service!
