Product Description

Makita 18Vx2 (36V) Brushless Pressure Washer (DHW080 Range)

Experience the ultimate in cordless cleaning freedom with the Makita 18Vx2 (36V) Brushless Pressure Washer (DHW080). Designed to provide heavy-duty cleaning power without the limitations of power cords or water mains, this innovative unit is powered by two 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries, delivering a robust 36V to the high-efficiency Brushless motor. It produces a maximum permissible pressure of 8.0MPa (1160 PSI) and a maximum flow rate of 380 Litres per hour, making it highly effective for rinsing down vehicles, cleaning outdoor gear, and stripping dirt from pathways.

The standout feature of the DHW080 is its true portability. It incorporates a self-priming function that allows the unit to draw water directly from a static source. More impressively, the machine comes with a dual-purpose 50-Litre functional storage box. When you aren't using the box to safely store the pressure washer and its accessories, you can fill it with water and use it as your portable water tank. This completely cord-free and hose-free setup is perfect for remote job sites, camping trips, or areas without immediate tap access. Furthermore, the unit features an adjustable pressure control on the spray lance and a 2-mode selection switch, giving you absolute control over the cleaning intensity.

Ideal For:

Remote Job Sites: The cordless power and self-priming 50L tank make it the perfect solution for cleaning equipment on construction sites where power and water aren't yet connected.
Outdoor Enthusiasts & Marine: Highly portable for washing down mountain bikes, dirt bikes, or boats immediately after use, right at the trail or ramp.
Residential Maintenance: Easily wash cars, clean windows, and spray down patios without dragging a heavy hose or extension cord around the house.

Key Features:

18Vx2 (36V) Brushless Motor: Delivers high-performance 36V power using two standard Makita 18V LXT batteries.
50L Functional Storage Box: Doubles as a massive portable water tank and a secure, protective storage case for the machine and its accessories.
Self-Priming Function: Draws water from the included storage box, a bucket, or a rain barrel (max suction head of 1m) without needing mains pressure.
Adjustable Pressure Lance: The nozzle allows you to quickly adjust the spray pattern from a narrow stream to a wide fan by simply turning the handle.
2 Pressure Modes: Select between High mode for stubborn dirt and Low mode for delicate washing and extended runtime.
Lightweight Design: Weighs only 7.7kg with batteries installed (5.3kg skin only), making it very easy to move around.

Available Variations:

DHW080ZK: Tool Only (Skin) - Includes the 50L Storage Box but no batteries or charger.
DHW080PT2 Kit: Includes the Pressure Washer, 50L Storage Box, 2x 18V 5.0Ah Batteries (BL1850B), and 1x Dual Port Rapid Charger (DC18RD).

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the DHW080ZK and the DHW080PT2?

The DHW080ZK is the 'Tool Only' model; it includes the pressure washer and the 50L storage box, but requires you to supply your own Makita 18V batteries and charger. The DHW080PT2 is a complete kit that includes the machine, the box, two 18V 5.0Ah batteries, and a dual-port rapid charger.

Does this pressure washer require a 36V battery?

No. It utilizes Makita's 18Vx2 technology, meaning it operates by using two standard Makita 18V LXT batteries simultaneously to deliver 36V of power.

How do I use the storage box as a water tank?

The pressure washer has a self-priming function. You simply fill the included 50L plastic storage box with water, drop the self-suction hose into it, and the machine will draw the water up, making you completely untethered from water taps.

How long will 50 Litres of water last?

When using the 50L storage box as your water source, it provides enough water for approximately 8 minutes of continuous spraying on High mode, or 12 minutes on Low mode.

Can I connect it to a regular garden hose and tap?

Yes. While it has the excellent self-priming feature for remote use, it can also be connected directly to a standard pressurized water tap for continuous supply.

How long will the batteries last?

When powered by two fully charged 6.0Ah batteries (BL1860B), the pressure washer can provide up to 15 minutes of continuous trigger runtime on High, and up to 34 minutes on Low.

Can I adjust the pressure for delicate surfaces like car paint?

Yes. The unit features two power modes (High and Low) on the base unit. Additionally, the spray lance itself has an adjustable pressure function that allows you to change the spray pattern from a narrow jet to a wide, softer fan simply by twisting the handle.

Is the pressure washer heavy to carry?

No, the main unit is designed to be highly portable, weighing just 5.3kg as a bare tool and around 7.7kg with two large batteries installed.

How powerful is the water pressure?

The Brushless motor generates a maximum permissible pressure of 8.0MPa (approximately 1160 PSI) and a flow rate of up to 380 Litres per hour, which is excellent for a battery-powered machine.

Where do I store the pressure washer when I'm done?

The entire pressure washer unit, the 5m hose, and the accessories are designed to pack away neatly inside the included 50L storage box, keeping everything protected and organized.

They earned it! I hardly ever leave reviews, but Abe absolutely deserves this one.

I rang ready to spend nearly $2,000. Unfortunately, the item wasn’t in stock for pickup and would take seven days to arrive. Abe said he’d call me back.

Five minutes later, he had found one in stock at another business in Parramatta — and negotiated the same discount for me there.
He had just lost the sale, yet he was genuinely happy he could help. That says everything.

This is how an excellent reputation is earned: day by day, customer by customer. Could not possibly ask for more.

Thank you, Abe — AWESOME service!
