What fuel does the engine take?

It requires standard, high-quality Unleaded Petrol. Because it is a true 4-stroke engine, you put pure petrol into the top fuel tank and pure oil into the separate side oil sump. Do NOT mix 2-stroke oil into the petrol.

Can I attach a surface cleaner to this?

Does this machine run on hot water?

No. This machine is engineered to accept Cold Water only from a standard garden tap (up to 50ºC). Pumping boiling hot water from a diesel heater through this specific pump will melt the internal rubber high-pressure seals.

How does the detergent tank work?

The machine has an integrated detergent tank. When you attach the low-pressure 'Soap Nozzle' to the end of the wand, the drop in pressure automatically triggers the chemical injector, sucking soap from the tank and spraying thick foam onto the surface.

What is the Red Nozzle for?

The Red nozzle is the 0-degree tip. It shoots a pinpoint, incredibly powerful stream of water. It is the most dangerous nozzle and should ONLY be used for aggressively stripping heavy concrete stains or thick mud from steel. It will destroy wood and car paint instantly.

Can I wash my car with this?

Yes, but you must be incredibly careful. 2800 PSI will strip car paint instantly if used wrong. You MUST use the widest, gentlest nozzle (the 40-degree White nozzle) and stand at least 3 feet back to safely wash delicate automotive clear coats.

Is the included hose made of cheap plastic?

No. This is a premium Karcher commercial kit. The 7.6-metre hose features an internal braided steel core. It is vastly more durable than standard plastic hoses and will survive being dragged over rough concrete without bursting under the 2800 PSI load.

Can I suck water from a rain tank, river, or bucket?

You must be very careful. High-pressure pumps strongly prefer 'positive pressure' (mains tap water) forcing water into the pump to prevent cavitation. Trying to suck water from a bucket can cause the massive pump to run dry and overheat. Check the manual for specific suction capabilities.
