It is incredibly easy. You do not need to take anything apart. You simply grab the large plastic head at the very front of the lance and twist it until it clicks into the next setting (Flat, Rotary, or Mist).

What is the 'Rotary Jet' setting used for?

The Rotary Jet (often called a Dirt Blaster) takes a pinpoint stream of high-pressure water and spins it in a circle at thousands of RPMs. It acts like a massive cone of destruction, specifically designed to violently rip thick black mold and moss out of hard concrete.

Can I use the Rotary Jet on my car?

Absolutely NOT. The spinning Rotary Jet is far too aggressive and will violently strip the clear coat, paint, and company decals right off the metal. For cars, you must ONLY use the 'Flat Fan' setting or the gentle 'Mist'.

Will this lance fit my heavy-duty Karcher Professional machine?

No. The base of this lance uses the Karcher domestic 'push and twist' bayonet fitting. Grey Karcher Professional machines (like the HD or HDS series) use massive commercial metal threads (EASY!Lock or M22). This is strictly for yellow domestic K-Series washers.
