Product Description

European Multipurpose Tool Housing (35mm) – Vacuum Accessories (FTH135)

Dramatically reduce your equipment replacement costs with the highly practical European Multipurpose Housing 35mm (FTH135). In commercial cleaning environments, the outer plastic shell of vacuum floor tools takes a severe beating. Constant ramming into skirting boards, drops on concrete floors, and aggressive scrubbing often causes the main outer housing to crack or shatter, even though the expensive internal components (like the base plate, wheels, and brush strips) are still perfectly functional. This specialized commercial vacuum part provides a brilliant, cost-effective solution, supplying just the durable outer shell required to rebuild your tool.

Engineered for maximum versatility, this replacement housing is modeled on the highly popular European-style multipurpose tool design. Featuring a universally accepted 35mm neck connection, it flawlessly integrates with a massive array of premium European vacuum brands and mid-size commercial tub machines. By simply transferring your existing internal base plate components into this brand-new, heavy-duty housing, appliance repair technicians and facility managers can instantly restore their broken vacuum accessories to perfect working order for a fraction of the cost of buying an entirely new combination floor tool assembly.

*Important Note: This product is supplied as the bare plastic HOUSING ONLY. It does not include the base plate, wheels, bristles, or internal mechanism. It is designed for repair technicians rebuilding an existing tool.

Who Is This Multipurpose Housing Ideal For?

The FTH135 Housing provides a highly cost-effective repair solution for cracked tools. It is highly recommended for:

Appliance Repair Technicians: Keeping a supply of bare 35mm commercial vacuum parts in the workshop to affordably rebuild clients' cracked European floor tools by transferring the internal components.
Commercial Cleaning Contractors: Drastically reducing equipment replacement budgets. When staff crack the outer shell of a floor tool, managers can simply rebuild it using this housing instead of buying a brand-new head.
Facility & Janitorial Teams: Utilizing the durable, heavy-duty plastic construction of this replacement shell to extend the lifespan of their expensive 35mm European vacuum accessories.
Domestic Homeowners: Repairing their premium 35mm European vacuum (like Miele or Bosch) by swapping their intact base plate into this new, uncracked housing.

Key Features and Performance Benefits:

Cost-Effective Bare Housing: Supplied exclusively as the outer plastic shell. This completely eliminates the unnecessary expense of buying a full combination tool if only the top plastic cover is cracked.
European-Style Design: Modeled to exactly replicate the shape and internal mounting points of popular European multipurpose combination tools, ensuring your old base plate drops in perfectly.
Universal 35mm Fitment: Engineered specifically to fit the 35mm commercial and domestic standard, ensuring the neck pushes flawlessly onto premium European wands and commercial tub machines.
High-Impact Construction: Molded from rigid, heavy-duty commercial plastic designed specifically to withstand the brutal impacts and dropping associated with daily contract cleaning.
Restores Maximum Suction: A cracked outer housing leaks massive amounts of air, destroying your vacuum's suction. Rebuilding your tool with this seamless shell instantly restores an airtight seal.

Technical Specifications & Compatibility:

Frequently Asked Questions

What does 'Supplied as housing only' mean?

It means you are only buying the top black plastic shell (the cover) and the neck. It does NOT include the bottom metal/plastic base plate, the wheels, the bristles, or the foot pedal mechanism. It is purely a repair part.

Why would I buy just the housing instead of a whole new floor tool?

If you accidentally drop your vacuum and crack the top plastic cover of the floor tool, the tool will lose all its suction. However, the internal parts are usually fine. Buying just this housing allows you to rebuild the tool for a fraction of the cost of buying a complete brand-new one.

Will my old base plate fit into this housing?

This housing is designed to be a direct fit for the standard 'European-Style' multipurpose tools. If your original tool looks exactly like this shell, your internal clips and base plate should transfer over perfectly.

What does '35mm' mean?

35mm refers to the internal diameter of the plastic neck on this housing. This means it is designed to push perfectly onto any metal vacuum wand that measures exactly 35mm across its outside diameter.

How do I measure my vacuum to see if the neck fits?

Take your current metal vacuum wand. Measure straight across the circular opening at the very bottom end. You are measuring the OUTSIDE diameter. If it is exactly 35mm, this housing will fit onto it flawlessly.

Will this fit my standard 32mm Pacvac backpack vacuum?

No. Standard commercial backpacks use the smaller 32mm standard. This 35mm housing will be too loose and fall right off a 32mm wand.

How difficult is it to swap the internal parts over?

It requires basic mechanical skills. You will generally need a screwdriver to unclip the base plate from your old cracked tool, transfer the spring and pedal mechanism, and snap the base plate firmly into this new housing.

Will this fit my Dyson stick vacuum?

No. Modern Dyson stick vacuums use highly proprietary, non-round plastic click-fittings with electrical pins. This is a standard round, friction-fit housing designed for traditional canister vacuums.

What vacuum brands commonly use a 35mm wand?

The 35mm standard is heavily utilized by premium European domestic brands like Miele, Bosch, and Wertheim, as well as many mid-size commercial tub vacuums.

Does it lock into place on the wand with a button?

No, it utilizes a standard industrial 'friction-fit'. The plastic neck has a slight taper; you simply push your metal wand hard into the neck, and the friction locks it tightly into an airtight seal.

Is the plastic durable?

Yes, it is manufactured from high-impact commercial plastic, ensuring it can survive being constantly bumped into walls and dropped by contract cleaners without easily cracking.

Do you offer trade pricing for vacuum repair shops?

Yes, Freshway Supplies provides highly competitive volume pricing and trade accounts for appliance repair technicians, commercial cleaners, and facility managers. Contact us to establish your trade account for spare parts.

They earned it! I hardly ever leave reviews, but Abe absolutely deserves this one.

I rang ready to spend nearly $2,000. Unfortunately, the item wasn’t in stock for pickup and would take seven days to arrive. Abe said he’d call me back.

Five minutes later, he had found one in stock at another business in Parramatta — and negotiated the same discount for me there.
He had just lost the sale, yet he was genuinely happy he could help. That says everything.

This is how an excellent reputation is earned: day by day, customer by customer. Could not possibly ask for more.

Thank you, Abe — AWESOME service!
