Execute highly efficient, massive-scale hard floor sanitation and completely standardize your janitorial equipment fleet with the highly dependable Edco 18847 Universal Handle with Soft Grip. In the demanding commercial contract cleaning, healthcare, and hospitality sectors, cleaners frequently battle with broken, mismatched wooden mop sticks that splinter, cause severe blisters, and fail to fit standard broom heads. This professional-grade commercial cleaning supply provides the ultimate, high-efficiency mechanical solution. Engineered from heavy-duty, ultra-lightweight materials, it acts as a universal, general-purpose powerhouse handle. It features a precision-tapered, self-tapping thread that drives aggressively into any 22mm push-fit broom or mop, creating a permanent, rock-solid connection that will never rattle or snap under heavy scrubbing pressure.
Designed for absolute worksite productivity and unparalleled operator ergonomics, the Edco 18847 Handle features an elongated 1.35-meter length, ensuring operators of all heights can push massive commercial brooms while maintaining a perfectly straight, healthy spine. Heavily equipped with a specialized, rubberized Soft Grip at the top of the shaft, it completely mitigates the severe wrist fatigue and blistering caused by gripping bare metal or wood during 8-hour shifts. Explicitly engineered to fit flawlessly into all Edco plastic ferrule mops and push-fit brooms, these elite industrial cleaning tools provide facility managers with an indispensable, highly economical asset for unifying their equipment fleet safely and efficiently.
Who Is The Edco Universal Handle Ideal For?
The Edco 18847 Handle delivers a heavy-duty tapered thread, an ergonomic soft grip, and universal 22mm ferrule compatibility. It is highly recommended for:
-
Commercial Cleaning Contractors: Utilizing a highly robust, universal commercial cleaning supply to standardize their entire worksite fleet. One handle fits all their mops and brooms, completely eliminating the logistical nightmare of carrying dozens of proprietary handles in the work van.
-
Hospitality & Hotel Housekeeping: Relying on the incredibly ergonomic Soft Grip. Housekeepers can execute aggressive, heavy-duty floor mopping across massive lobbies and kitchens all day without suffering from severe hand cramping, blisters, or repetitive strain injuries (RSI).
-
Industrial Workshops & Factories: Taking absolute advantage of the tapered self-tapping thread. When driving massive industrial yard brooms across heavy concrete, cheap handles snap. The self-tapping thread bites violently into the broom head, guaranteeing a permanent, indestructible connection.
-
Facility OH&S Managers: Deploying premium industrial cleaning tools that actively protect worker health. The 1.35-metre length is the absolute ergonomic gold standard, ensuring staff do not have to hunch over or bend their lower back to push the mop, drastically reducing workplace injuries.
Key Features and Performance Benefits:
-
Tapered Self-Tapping Thread: The ultimate structural advantage. Standard push-fit handles constantly fall out of the broom head. This specialized thread acts like a massive screw; as you twist it into the 22mm ferrule, it bites aggressively into the plastic, locking the handle to the broom permanently.
-
Ergonomic Soft Grip: Protects operator health. The top of the handle features a thick, rubberized overmold. This highly specialized grip completely prevents the tool from slipping out of wet, soapy hands, and acts as a shock absorber, completely eliminating painful blisters.
-
Universal 22mm Compatibility: Maximizes worksite versatility. This handle is explicitly engineered to fit flawlessly into ANY push-fit broom or mop that utilizes an industry-standard 22mm ferrule socket, making it the perfect universal replacement stick for massive commercial venues.
-
Optimal 1.35-Metre Length: Prioritizes operator endurance. The 1350mm length is scientifically calibrated for commercial cleaning. It provides the perfect leverage for heavy downward scrubbing, while ensuring the operator can stand perfectly upright, preventing severe spinal fatigue.
-
Edco Plastic Ferrule Mop Integration: Reduces ongoing commercial overheads. This handle is the absolute perfect match for the entire range of Edco commercial cotton and microfibre mops, ensuring facility managers can quickly deploy fresh handles whenever old wooden sticks break.
