Product Description

Edco Biodegradable Bamboo Merriwipes (90 Wipes Per Roll)

The Edco Bamboo Merriwipes Roll is a highly sustainable, premium commercial cleaning wipe designed to meet the rigorous demands of the modern food service and hospitality industries. Manufactured entirely from 100% natural bamboo fibers, this biodegradable cleaning cloth provides a direct, eco-friendly alternative to traditional synthetic wipes. It delivers exceptional liquid absorbency and surface scrubbing durability while actively supporting corporate environmental and sustainability compliance targets.

Measuring a generous 30cm x 50cm per wipe, the roll is perforated to provide exactly 90 individual cloths, ensuring fast and efficient dispensing during busy commercial shifts. Crucially, these wipes are fully HACCP certified, meaning they are strictly approved for use in critical food preparation environments without posing a contamination risk. Reusable and fully machine washable, the Bamboo Merriwipe offers facility managers a highly cost-effective, multi-purpose cleaning consumable.

Ideal For:

Commercial Kitchens & Cafes: HACCP certification ensures these wipes are completely safe for sanitizing stainless steel food preparation benches and dining tables.
Healthcare & Aged Care: Provides a highly absorbent, soft-touch cloth for general surface wiping and infection control procedures.
Corporate Facility Management: Supports green-procurement policies by replacing non-biodegradable synthetic cleaning cloths with a 100% sustainable alternative.

Key Features & Operational Benefits:

100% Bamboo Fiber Construction: A rapidly renewable, natural resource that breaks down organically, significantly reducing your facility's landfill impact.
HACCP Certified: Officially approved for use in heavily regulated commercial food handling and manufacturing zones.
High Absorbency & Strength: The dense bamboo matrix effortlessly soaks up heavy spills and withstands vigorous scrubbing without immediately tearing.
Reusable & Machine Washable: Wipes can be laundered and reused multiple times before disposal, dramatically lowering ongoing consumable costs.
Perforated Roll Format: Contains 90 large (30x50cm) wipes per roll, designed for rapid, single-handed tearing from a standard benchtop or wall dispenser.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes these wipes environmentally friendly?

These wipes are manufactured from 100% natural bamboo fibers. Bamboo is a rapidly renewable resource, and unlike standard synthetic cleaning cloths which contain microplastics, these wipes are fully biodegradable and break down naturally.

Are they safe to use in a commercial kitchen?

Yes, absolutely. They are fully HACCP certified, meaning they meet the strict safety and hygiene standards required for direct use in commercial food preparation and manufacturing environments.

How many wipes are on a single roll?

Each roll contains exactly 90 pre-perforated wipes, allowing staff to tear off exactly what they need quickly and efficiently.

What size is each individual wipe?

When torn from the roll, each individual cleaning cloth measures a generous 30cm wide by 50cm long, providing ample surface area for wiping down large tables.

Can I wash and reuse these wipes?

Yes. The bamboo fiber construction is highly durable. They can be machine washed and reused multiple times, making them highly cost-effective compared to single-use paper towels.

Do these wipes leave lint on glass or mirrors?

Bamboo fibers are naturally low-linting, providing a very clean wipe. However, for a flawless, streak-free finish on commercial glass, a dedicated microfibre glass cloth is generally recommended.

Are they color-coded?

The Bamboo Merriwipes are typically supplied in their natural, undyed color. If your facility requires strict color-coding (e.g., red for bathrooms, green for kitchens), you may need to look at Edco's synthetic Merriwipe range.

Can I use chemical sanitizers with these wipes?

Yes. The bamboo material is highly chemically resistant and works excellently when saturated with standard commercial surface sanitizers, degreasers, and glass cleaners.

Will they fit on a standard paper towel holder?

Because it is a bulk commercial roll, it is best suited for dedicated heavy-duty roll dispensers or simply stood upright on a cleaning cart or kitchen prep bench.

Are they abrasive?

No. The bamboo fibers are incredibly soft and non-abrasive, making them perfectly safe to use on delicate polished surfaces, stainless steel, and glass.

Do you offer trade pricing for hospitality businesses?

Yes, Freshway Supplies provides volume pricing and trade accounts for cafes, restaurants, and contract cleaners. Contact us to establish your account.

They earned it! I hardly ever leave reviews, but Abe absolutely deserves this one.

I rang ready to spend nearly $2,000. Unfortunately, the item wasn’t in stock for pickup and would take seven days to arrive. Abe said he’d call me back.

Five minutes later, he had found one in stock at another business in Parramatta — and negotiated the same discount for me there.
He had just lost the sale, yet he was genuinely happy he could help. That says everything.

This is how an excellent reputation is earned: day by day, customer by customer. Could not possibly ask for more.

Thank you, Abe — AWESOME service!
