PIN (B.A.R) XL 61 Diesel Radiant Heater 17kW (58,000 BTU) – Industrial Heating Tools

Execute highly aggressive, instantaneous localized heating and completely eradicate worksite moisture with the incredibly formidable PIN XL 61 Diesel Radiant Heater (17kW / 58,000 BTU). In the grueling commercial construction, agricultural, and industrial manufacturing sectors, utilizing standard forced-air blow heaters is a massive operational liability. Hot air naturally rises to the ceiling, wasting massive amounts of fuel, while the aggressive fans violently blow highly toxic construction dust and fresh paint fumes into the operator's face. This professional-grade industrial heating tool provides the ultimate, high-efficiency thermodynamic solution. Engineered with highly advanced Infrared Short-Wave technology, it operates exactly like the sun; it completely ignores the surrounding air and projects intense, focused radiant heat directly into the solid objects, wet plaster walls, and frozen machinery in front of it, providing flawless, 100% dust-free heat transfer.

Designed for absolute worksite supremacy and unparalleled operator safety, the PIN XL 61 is built upon a virtually indestructible steel chassis. It features a heavy-duty 11-Litre diesel fuel tank that feeds a highly calibrated master burner, delivering up to 7 hours of continuous, relentless heat generation on a single fill. Heavily equipped with intelligent electronic flame control, a photocell safety sensor, anti-tilt cutoff switches, and zero-airflow operation, these elite power tool accessories and industrial heaters provide commercial builders, panel beaters, and facility managers with an indispensable, highly economical asset for instantly defrosting massive equipment or drying thick plaster walls with absolute precision and completely silent operation.

Who Is The PIN XL 61 Diesel Radiant Heater Ideal For?

The PIN XL 61 delivers massive 17kW infrared heat, a dust-free zero-airflow design, and extreme commercial durability. It is highly recommended for:

  • Commercial Builders & Plasterers: Utilizing a highly robust, high-efficiency industrial heating tool to execute rapid worksite drying. Because infrared heat physically penetrates deep inside wet plaster and concrete rather than just drying the surface, it flawlessly evaporates deep humidity without trapping moisture inside the wall.
  • Automotive Panel Beaters & Spray Painters: Relying on the 100% dust-free, zero-airflow operation. Standard heaters blow dust onto wet paint, ruining the finish. This radiant heater operates without a fan, safely and silently curing automotive paint and drying deep primers flawlessly without stirring up a single particle of dust.
  • Agricultural & Farming Staff: Taking absolute advantage of the massive 58,000 BTU output. Unlike hot air that is instantly blown away by the wind, short-wave infrared heat cuts straight through heavy fog and freezing wind, making it the perfect solution for defrosting heavy tractor machinery outdoors or warming livestock enclosures.
  • Facility OH&S Managers: Deploying premium power tool accessories equipped with advanced safety CPUs. The machine features an anti-tilt switch, overheat thermostats, and electronic flame control. If the machine is knocked over or the flame dies, the fuel pump shuts off instantly, preventing catastrophic worksite fires.

Key Features and Performance Benefits:

  • Advanced Short-Wave Infrared Technology: The ultimate thermodynamic advantage. Standard heaters heat the air (which floats away). This machine heats the actual physical objects in front of it (like a person or a wall). Once the objects are saturated with heat, they radiate warmth back into the room, slashing massive fuel costs.
  • Zero Airflow & Dust-Free Operation: Protects your facility's presentation. By completely eliminating the internal fan, this heater operates with zero air movement. This guarantees it will never blow hazardous concrete dust into your lungs or ruin a freshly painted wall, making it the absolute gold standard for clean worksites.
  • Massive 17kW (58,000 BTU) Heat Output: Delivers unyielding commercial performance. The high-pressure master burner consumes 1.6 Litres of diesel per hour to generate a blistering 14,600 kcal/h of heat energy. This provides enough intense radiant coverage to successfully heat solid objects within a massive 158 m² zone.
  • 11-Litre Fuel Tank & 240V Operation: Maximizes worksite efficiency. The internal pump requires a standard 240V (10 Amp) power supply to operate the electronics. The massive 11-Litre diesel tank ensures the machine can burn continuously for approximately 7 hours before requiring the operator to stop and refuel.
  • Integrated Remote Thermostat Socket: Prioritizes operator convenience. The chassis features an ILME socket. This allows the operator to plug in an optional analog or digital remote thermostat (sold separately). The thermostat will automatically turn the heater on and off to maintain the exact room temperature you set.

What is the difference between an 'Infrared Radiant' heater and a normal 'Forced Air' heater?

A forced-air heater burns fuel and uses a massive fan to blow hot air into the room (which instantly floats to the ceiling and wastes energy). An Infrared Radiant heater acts like the sun. It does not use a fan. It shoots invisible heat waves straight forward, heating the actual physical walls, machines, and people directly, bypassing the air.

Why is 'Zero Airflow' a massive commercial advantage?

Because there is no massive fan blowing air, the heater is completely silent and it doesn't stir up dust. If you are painting a car or plastering a wall, a fan heater will blow dirty dust straight into your wet paint, ruining the job. This infrared heater cures the paint completely dust-free.

Does this heater need to be plugged into electricity?

Yes. While it burns diesel fuel to create the massive 17kW heat flame, it still requires a standard 240V (10 Amp) electrical wall plug to run the internal fuel pump, the digital safety sensors, and the electronic ignition system.

What type of fuel does it burn?

The PIN XL 61 is strictly designed to burn standard automotive Diesel fuel. You must never put highly volatile fuels like standard Unleaded Petrol, Aviation Fuel, or heavy engine oil into the 11L tank, as it will cause a catastrophic explosion.

Is it safe to use indoors?

This is a direct-fired diesel heater. It exhausts the burnt fumes directly out the front. Therefore, it MUST only be used in highly ventilated commercial warehouses, open-door construction sites, or outdoors. If used in a completely sealed, airtight domestic room, the carbon monoxide will be lethal.

How long will a full tank of diesel last?

The heavy-duty 11-Litre fuel tank is highly economical. The high-pressure master burner consumes approximately 1.6 Litres of diesel per hour. This means you will get roughly 7 hours of continuous, blistering heat on a single tank.

What happens if a forklift accidentally knocks the heater over?

The heater is equipped with a highly advanced, electronic 'Anti-Tilt Switch'. The exact millisecond the machine tips past a safe angle, the internal CPU instantly kills the fuel pump and shuts the flame off, completely preventing a massive worksite fire.

Can I connect a thermostat to this heater?

Yes! The machine features a built-in ILME socket. You can purchase a separate remote thermostat, plug it into the machine, and set it to 20°C. The heater will automatically turn itself on and off to maintain that exact temperature without wasting fuel.

Why is infrared better for drying wet plaster walls?

Hot air from a fan heater only dries the surface of the wall, trapping the wet moisture deep inside the bricks (which causes mold later). Infrared heat physically penetrates deep inside the wall, evaporating the water from the inside out, guaranteeing a structurally dry wall.

Does the wind affect the heat output outdoors?

No! This is the absolute beauty of infrared technology. If you use a hot-air blower outdoors, the wind instantly blows the hot air away. Infrared radiation travels in a straight line and cuts straight through freezing wind and fog, hitting you with pure heat.

What is the 'Photocell' flame control?

It is a critical safety sensor. The photocell constantly 'looks' at the flame inside the combustion chamber. If the flame accidentally blows out or the fuel runs dry, the photocell tells the computer to instantly shut off the fuel pump, preventing the machine from spraying raw diesel everywhere.
