Product Description

Cleanstar Ducted Vacuum Hose Cuff 32mm (HCDUC) – Replacement Vacuum Hose Fitting

Ensure your expensive central vacuum system maintains absolute, unyielding suction power with the premium Cleanstar Ducted Banded Hose Cuff (HCDUC). In a ducted (central) vacuum system, the 9-metre flexible hose is constantly pulled from room to room, dragged around sharp corners, and twisted forcefully. Over time, the standard plastic cuff at the end of the hose stretches or cracks, causing massive air leaks at the wall inlet. This specialized replacement vacuum hose fitting acts as an exact-fit replacement, instantly repairing the connection to guarantee your system pulls 100% of its suction directly from the floor tool, not from cracks in the wall socket.

Not all hose cuffs are designed to survive the rigors of a whole-house cleaning system. This heavy-duty vacuum hose adapter features a specialized "banded" or reinforced design. This extra layer of structural plastic provides immense strength around the connection point, stopping the cuff from splitting when you push your metal wand into it forcefully. Engineered specifically to screw seamlessly onto standard 32mm ducted vacuum hoses, these essential commercial vacuum parts are the ultimate, cost-effective solution for homeowners and technicians looking to restore peak performance to their central vacuum installation without buying an entirely new hose.

Who Is This Ducted Hose Cuff Ideal For?

The Cleanstar HCDUC Banded Cuff provides a heavily reinforced, airtight connection. It is highly recommended for:

Residential Homeowners: Upgrading the cracked, leaking hose connection on their home's central ducted vacuum system with a premium replacement vacuum hose fitting to instantly restore maximum suction power.
Central Vacuum Installers: Sourcing highly reliable, reinforced commercial vacuum parts to custom-build durable hose assemblies for new luxury residential and light commercial ducted installations.
Appliance Repair Technicians: Keeping a supply of banded vacuum hose adapters in the work van to quickly repair clients' broken 32mm ducted hoses without having to force them to buy an entirely new 9-metre hose.
Facility & Janitorial Teams: Repairing the heavily abused hoses on light commercial ducted systems used in hotels or large multi-level office buildings.

Key Features and Performance Benefits:

Reinforced Banded Design: Features a thickened, molded band around the opening. This provides immense structural strength, preventing the cuff from cracking when metal wands are jammed into it forcefully.
Restores Maximum Suction: A cracked cuff leaks massive amounts of air, destroying your central vacuum's suction. This seamless piece instantly seals the system, ensuring the powerful wall-motor pulls dirt efficiently.
Cost-Effective Hose Repair: Completely eliminates the need to throw away an expensive, fully functional 9-metre ducted vacuum hose just because the plastic tip at the wand end snapped.
Tool-Free Installation: The internal walls of the cuff feature a molded reverse thread. You simply push the cuff onto the bare ribbed flexible hose and twist it on by hand to create an instant, airtight lock.
Universal 32mm Sizing: Engineered specifically for the standard 32mm ducted vacuum hose, allowing it to seamlessly accept standard 32mm metal wands and floor tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a 'Ducted' or 'Central' vacuum system?

A ducted vacuum system has a massive motor permanently installed in the garage or basement, with PVC pipes running through the walls of the house. You simply plug a long, 9-metre flexible hose into a wall socket in each room to vacuum. This cuff goes on the end of that long hose.

What does 'Banded' mean?

A banded cuff has an extra-thick ring of plastic molded around the edge where you insert the metal wand. Because a 9-metre hose is heavy, the wand connection takes a lot of stress. The 'band' reinforces the plastic so it doesn't split under the weight.

What does '32mm' mean?

32mm refers to the standard internal/external diameter of the vacuum system. This cuff is designed to screw onto a 32mm wide ribbed hose, and the smooth end is designed to accept any standard 32mm metal vacuum wand or floor tool.

How do I install this onto my old hose?

It is incredibly simple. Use a knife to cut the old broken cuff off so you have a clean edge on your flexible ribbed hose. The inside of this new plastic cuff has a reverse thread. You simply push it onto the hose and twist it until it bites into the ribs tightly.

Do I need to glue it?

No. The internal threads are designed to create a tight friction-lock against the ribs of the flexible hose. Glue is unnecessary and will make it impossible to remove the cuff if you ever need to replace it again.

Why does my metal wand keep falling out of my current hose?

When you push a metal wand into a plastic cuff every day, the friction slowly shaves the plastic away. Over time, the hole becomes too wide, and the wand falls out. Replacing the cuff instantly fixes this issue and restores a tight grip.

Can I use this cuff to plug the hose into the wall socket?

Usually, no. The end of the hose that plugs into the wall socket typically requires a specialized 'Wall End Cuff' that often has metal rings or electrical pins to turn the main motor on. This cuff (HCDUC) is the 'Wand End', meaning it is the end where you hold the handle and attach the floor tools.

Do you offer trade pricing for vacuum installation businesses?

They earned it! I hardly ever leave reviews, but Abe absolutely deserves this one.

I rang ready to spend nearly $2,000. Unfortunately, the item wasn’t in stock for pickup and would take seven days to arrive. Abe said he’d call me back.

Five minutes later, he had found one in stock at another business in Parramatta — and negotiated the same discount for me there.
He had just lost the sale, yet he was genuinely happy he could help. That says everything.

This is how an excellent reputation is earned: day by day, customer by customer. Could not possibly ask for more.

Thank you, Abe — AWESOME service!
