How does the 'Tap in Cap' actually work?

You remove the original shipping cap from your 20L drum. You take the large black cap from this kit and screw the smaller tap into its center hole. Then, you screw this entire completed assembly tightly onto the 20L drum. You can now lay the drum on its side on a shelf and use the tap to pour the liquid out like a water cooler.

Will this tap fit my 5-Litre bottle?

No. The main black screw cap is massively wide and features threads explicitly engineered to fit the extremely wide neck of a 20-Litre commercial drum. It will be vastly too big for a standard 5L bottle.

Is this tap safe for highly concentrated bleach?

While the heavy-duty plastic is highly chemical resistant, leaving raw, concentrated commercial bleach (sodium hypochlorite) sitting inside any tap mechanism for months will eventually degrade the internal rubber O-rings. If the tap starts dripping, it must be replaced.

Can I reuse this tap when the drum is empty?

Absolutely. When your 20L drum is finally empty, you simply unscrew the entire Tap and Cap assembly, thoroughly wash it out under hot running water in a sink, and screw it onto your brand new 20L drum.
