Agar First Base – Clear Base-Coat Floor Sealer for Hard Surfaces

Agar First Base is a professional-grade water-based floor sealer that delivers a strong, clear protective coating to bare floor surfaces. Designed to resist wear, staining, and weathering, First Base forms an excellent foundation for topcoats while helping to preserve and prepare floors for long-term use.

This environmentally responsible base-coat is odourless, non-flammable, and ideal for both indoor and sheltered outdoor settings. It offers strong adhesion, minimises dusting on concrete, and sets faster than solvent-based sealers—allowing floors to return to service within hours.

Directions for Use:
Ensure floor is clean, unpainted, dry, and free from oils, wax, or residue. Apply 1–2 coats depending on surface porosity using a roller, brush, or mop. Avoid puddling and bubbling. Allow at least 1 hour between coats and 2–3 hours before light foot traffic. Can be overcoated with 3D-GLOSS, MASTERPIECE, or TUFF-GLOSS for enhanced finish.

Ideal For:
Use on bare concrete, terrazzo, vinyl, timber, and porous stone floors in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings. Not suitable for outdoor timber decks exposed to rain or cold surfaces below 10°C.
