Actichem Instaglaze UHS Acrylic Floor Polish (AP425)

Achieve unparalleled depth, clarity, and reflection in ultra-high-traffic environments with Actichem Instaglaze (AP425). While standard floor polishes provide excellent protection, they cannot withstand or react to the extreme friction generated by Ultra-High-Speed (UHS) burnishing machines. This premium, high-solids acrylic polymer floor polish is specifically engineered for facilities utilizing UHS equipment. The specialized thermoplastic formulation responds powerfully to the extreme heat of the burnisher, rapidly 'melting' and curing the polish into a brilliant, glass-like finish that resists the heaviest commercial wear.

Instaglaze is designed for environments that demand pristine, zero-compromise presentation—such as high-end retail showrooms, hospital corridors, and institutional foyers. The high-solids content provides exceptional resistance to deep scratches, scuffing, and black heel marks, drastically extending the lifespan of the floor finish between full stripping cycles. Fully compliant with AS/NZS 4586:2004 slip resistance standards, this commercial UHS floor finish allows contractors to execute rapid, dry-burnishing gloss restoration without the messy application of liquid spray buffs.

Ideal For:

  • Retail Showrooms & Supermarkets: The high-solids UHS formulation is designed to withstand the brutal, daily abrasion of shopping trolleys and massive foot traffic, maintaining a 'wet-look' mirror finish.
  • Hospitals & Healthcare: Provides an impenetrable, easy-to-sanitize barrier on commercial vinyl (VCT) corridors, ensuring strict hygiene and flawless visual presentation.
  • Large-Scale Facility Maintenance: The ability to dry-burnish the floor rapidly to restore the shine eliminates the need for slow spray-buffing, drastically cutting labor costs across massive floor plans.

Key Features & Operational Benefits:

  • UHS Burnishing Optimization: The specific thermoplastic polymers react instantly to the 1500+ RPM friction of an Ultra-High-Speed burnisher, popping to an intense, high-clarity gloss in a single pass.
  • High-Solids Durability: Contains a denser concentration of acrylic polymers than standard polishes, providing a thicker, tougher sacrificial shield against severe scratches and scuffing.
  • Dry-Burnish Restoration: Eliminates the requirement for liquid spray-buffing compounds; the polish itself can be routinely dry-burnished to instantly melt away micro-scratches and restore brilliance.
  • Slip Resistance Compliant: Delivers extreme, glass-like shine while maintaining absolute pedestrian safety, strictly conforming to AS/NZS 4586:2004 slip-resistance standards.

What is the difference between Instagloss and Instaglaze?

Instagloss is a standard floor polish designed to be maintained with regular-speed polishers (under 1000 RPM) and a spray-buff liquid. Instaglaze is a 'High Solids' formula engineered specifically for Ultra-High-Speed (UHS) burnishers (1500+ RPM), allowing for extremely fast dry-burnishing to achieve a harder, mirror-like finish.

What does 'High Solids' mean?

Floor polish is a mix of water and acrylic polymers (the solids). A 'high solids' polish has a much higher concentration of polymers and less water. This means it lays down a thicker, tougher protective coat with fewer layers, providing vastly superior resistance to scratches and scuffs.

Can I apply Instaglaze to bare concrete or stone?

Highly porous surfaces like raw concrete, terrazzo, and natural stone absorb polish unevenly. You should always apply a dedicated base coat primer (like Actichem Instaseal) first, and then apply Instaglaze as the topcoat over the sealed floor.

Can I use it directly on Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT)?

Yes. Once the vinyl floor has been completely stripped of old wax, rinsed, and dried, you can apply Instaglaze directly to the vinyl without needing a base coat.

How many coats should I apply?

If applying directly to vinyl, 3 to 5 thin coats are recommended depending on traffic. If applying over an Instaseal base coat on stone, 2 to 3 coats of Instaglaze are sufficient.

What does 'Dry Burnish' mean?

Standard polishing requires spraying a liquid chemical onto the floor and buffing it in to restore the shine. With a UHS machine and Instaglaze, you simply run the high-speed burnishing pad completely dry over the clean floor. The extreme friction melts the polymers slightly, instantly erasing micro-scratches and restoring the wet-look shine.

Is the floor safe to walk on when it looks wet?

Yes. Despite the brilliant, glass-like reflection, Instaglaze is formulated with slip-resistant polymers that meet strict AS/NZS 4586:2004 safety standards, ensuring excellent grip for commercial foot traffic.

How long do I wait between applying coats?

You must allow 30 to 40 minutes for each coat to dry completely. Never apply a new layer if the floor is still tacky to the touch.

Do you offer trade pricing for commercial cleaners?

Yes, Freshway Supplies provides volume pricing and trade accounts for floor restoration contractors, hospital facility managers, and commercial cleaners. Contact us to establish your account.
