Thin foam is usually caused by three things: 1) You didn't put enough chemical in the bottle. 2) The adjustable dial on top is turned to the 'water' setting instead of 'foam'. 3) The tiny metal mesh filter inside the brass head has become clogged with dried soap and needs to be soaked in hot water.

Is it safe to run hot water through it?

Yes, this lance can safely handle warm water up to a maximum of 60ºC. Using warm water in your machine actually helps the chemicals activate faster and produce a much thicker foam.

Should I clean it after washing the car?
